The Problem Space

The Challenge

By the time FlashNow started, Indian quick commerce had consolidated around a handful of well-funded players — and neighborhood kirana stores were being systematically shut out of it. Their customers were already ordering online; none of those orders were reaching them. Neither shoppers nor vendors had real-time visibility into what was in stock or where an order stood — inventory was tracked manually, and orders were handled over phone or WhatsApp with no structured workflow. Last-mile delivery was entirely ad hoc, with no dispatch system, route optimization, or way to track a delivery partner in real time.

Strategic Scoping

The Product Decision

Instead of building another centralized-warehouse quick-commerce app — the model the big players already owned — we scoped FlashNow around the opposite bet: give existing local shops the same real-time infrastructure the big players had, so demand could route through the neighborhood store that was already there instead of a new warehouse. Real-time was treated as a first-class engineering concern from day one, not a feature bolted on later — the goal was zero architecture rewrites after launch.

System Architecture

What We Built

A breakdown of the modular components engineered and shipped into production.

01

Hyperlocal Store Discovery & Live Catalog

GPS-enabled nearby kirana store search with real-time stock availability, live pricing, and interactive storefront listings.

02

Real-Time Micro-Inventory Sync

Merchant tablet POS allowing instant inventory adjustments; items running out of stock auto-suppress instantly to eliminate order cancellations.

03

Rapid Checkout Engineered for Speed

Full consumer order flow completed in under 2 minutes, with cached addresses and saved payment methods enabling sub-30-second repeat orders.

04

Granular Order Lifecycle Pipeline

Real-time WebSocket status updates: Pending → Merchant Accepted → Packed → Out for Delivery → Delivered, with customer push alerts.

05

Intelligent Dispatch & Route Optimization

Proximity-based rider assignment engine, turn-by-turn routing for delivery partners, and live customer GPS tracking on map.

06

Merchant Operating Dashboard & Analytics

Order intake queue, daily settlement reports, revenue trends, customer reviews, and promotional campaign controls.

Visual Interface

Production Interface & Workflow

UI screens engineered for frictionless real-world operations.

Measurable Outcomes

Verified Business Impact

100% Production Verified
10–15 minute hyperlocal delivery capability enabled across neighborhood clusters
4 distinct platform roles (consumer, vendor, delivery partner, city admin) unified into one real-time architecture
Zero expensive centralized warehouses required
Real-time inventory sync eliminates stale listings and post-order cancellations
Sub-2-minute checkout time for repeat orders
FlashNow gave our local vendors something they never had before — a platform. Not a WhatsApp group, not a phone call queue. An actual system where orders come in, get tracked, and get delivered. Creuto built exactly what we needed, and shipped it ready for real load.
